cos ss17 - scandi-cool

This season Cos, the ultimate purveyor of Scandi-cool - which prides itself on simplistic design - takes obvious inspo from another county that never fails to make minimalism cool: Japan. With clean, raw fabrics in a coordinated, colour-blocked palette of indigo, tan, white and olive green, each piece is an art form in itself, and is made even more interesting by layering with another garment from the same line. In typical Cos style, it exudes that kind of elegance that only Scandinavian brands can really pull off, but the interesting fusion lies in the origami-inspired cuts and folds and the kimono-esque silhouettes. The most eye-catching piece for us is the oversized, billowing tan jacket, which is perfect for hiding from the elements whilst still looking mysteriously chic - the ideal combination.
