ankle x leclubmay takes over the window display of citizen vintage

truthfully, collabs can be a bit scary when you're used to work on your own - but designing this first collection with our friend from leclubmay was a blessing! elisabeth labelle, the founder of ankle, joined forces with montreal based illustrator valery lemay to revamp the window display of citizen vintage, a cool secondhand store in downtown montreal.

valery got inspired by summer, nature and the human body when she first sketched the illustration for the collab. entitled "l'été qui se prélasse" (lazy summer), the collection is made of tees, sweatshirts and denim patches - which will all be available in store starting july 27 and online, as of july 28.

we asked a contributor of ours, also a mutual friend, the photographer ariane poulin to give life to our collection with a lookbook - starring laetitia isambert, with hair and makeup by genevieve hardy. two of her gorgeous pictures are now hanged in the store's window. to give more depth to the display, valery and elisabeth met up at the store one afternoon and hand painted valery's illustrations on the glass.

come and see our window display and collection in the upcoming weeks - we're proud parents :)
